Splinter Fish - Accidents Happen

This was the only Splinter Fish song that Chuck played an acoustic guitar for.

ABF: "I stopped by the rehearsal space one day while they were working out this song and were trying to figure out how to effectively come out of the drum solo. I suggested the 1-beat hit on the high-hat and that seems to have worked."

LyricsEdit

They tore down the wall
And set back the hands
Of the doomsday clock
Tick tock, tick tock

The scientists voted
In the spirit of hope
But everyone knows that
Accident happen

We ran through the field (accidents happen)
The sky was unreal (accidents happen)
The lilies were there (accidents...)
They were waving goodbye

Alone in my room
I stare at the wall
10 minutes to midnight
Is the sky gonna fall

So life's but a dream
And we've all lost our sense
Here's the final disclaimer
Accident happen

We ran through the field (accidents happen)
The sky was unreal (accidents happen)
The lilies were there (accidents...)
They were waving goodbye

They tore down the wall
And set back the hands
Of the doomsday clock
Tick tock, tick tock

The scientists voted
In the spirit of hope
But everyone knows that
Accident happen

We ran through the field (accidents happen)
The sky was unreal (accidents happen)
The lilies were there (accidents...)
They were waving goodbye
